Ohio bow/muzzleloader trip photos..163in 10pt

Well in nov. me and my brother planned a short notice trip to Ohio to hunt the 4 day muzzloader season and 2 days of bowhunting. The hunt took place in the rather rugged Zaleski State Forest, there was 5 of us total and none of us had ever been to Ohio,we hunt public land here in PA so we figured we would do alright there as well. The hunting was decent but frustrating due to the crunchy snow, but in 6 days of hunting 3 of us had a shot at a 125+ buck and the other 2 could have shot decent buck. Sadly me and my one buddy missed but I did harvest a doe and a coyote, however the highlight was my 17yr old buddy harvesting a 163 in 10pt on the last day!! we went there for big deer and we did bring one back. so here is a few pics to look at

Re: Ohio bow/muzzleloader trip photos

Sounds like an awesome time! How were the deer sightings? How was the hunting pressure?

Re: Ohio bow/muzzleloader trip photos

we saw average of around 7 deer a day mostly still hunting, hunting pressure was light and spread out. thousands of acres never saw a hunter in some of those big tracts of forest. only 11 buck spotted between 5 guys but 7 of them were at least 100in
