So close yet so far away.

I decided to take the bow out for some late season doe in 2B. I had 5 mature doe hanging around me at 50 yards for two hours and they would not move my way. A neighbor was walking her dog who must be deaf because from the time she hit her yard she was screaming his name. Their walk lasted 45 minutes and so did the screaming! The deer paid her no mind and walked off without offering me a shot. I kept thinking I should have brought the rifle but I haven't got to harvest anything with the bow yet so until I have a bloody arrow the gun stays in the safe. On a positive note, The woods were beautiful and still coated in snow allowing for great visibility .

Re: So close yet so far away.

It is a great time to be in the woods, I spent the weekend in southern Ohio with my inline and had no intentions of shooting a doe. Did alot of scouting and trimmed some shooting lanes getting ready for this fall.

The older I get the better I was.
