The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Re: Interesting Read

Very interesting read. Its amazing how some deer travel. The buck I got in early November was on a friends trail camera 3 hours earlier. The camera was over a mile away from where I killed it.

I've seen around 10 deer swimming across major rivers (>100 yards wide) over the past 10 years. Some friends even watched a squirrel swim across the Kiskiminetas River a few years back.

There was a study done by Rosenberry et al. on the DuPont property (Maryland) in the early 2000's that found that yearling bucks may disperse quite a bit and antler restrictions can be counter-productive if the areas where antler restrictions are in place are not of sufficient size to protect these yearling bucks that may disperse out of the area with the restrictions.
