Well after not seeing a deer since archery season, I sat all day yesterday in hopes of having luck. It was really foggy in our area and hard to see fifty yards in the woods. At 4:00pm I spotted movement. Just a does head, and it dissapeared. After about 3 minutes I could see everything except her hind quarters. Got the scope on her and squezed the trigger. She ran up the mountain out of sight and I waited 30 minutes before checking where she stood. I found blood but it looked like ther may have been bits of corn in it. Thinking I may have hit her too far back and not being sure of my shot with how foggy it was I backed out till morning.
A friend and I went back up this morning, and it took all of 10 minutes to find her. Absolutely nothing left but hide and skeletin. The coyotes devoured every bit of it overnight. Frustrated, and going to to take up predator hunting. Too many yotes in 3B.
Be Safe Out There,
