Ticks are out.

Hunting yesterday and I finlly took a big doe , then this morning I found a tick already embeded in my skin.It did come off fairly easy but I`ll be keeping an eye on the area.I was treated for Lyme disease 2 years ago,so be careful out there.

Nature can teach us alot.

Re: Ticks are out.

Snakes out this time of year? I thought they'd burrow after first freeze. Temps where I hunt are in the 20's every night. I can't see snakes being out this time of year. Not trying to discredit your post, I just find it shocking.

I found it shocking also. I thought my son put a rubber snake in the tree as a prank until i grabbed it.

Re: Ticks are out.

butchered a deer from union town this weekend. it had at least 30 ticks just on its back ends. Worst i have ever seen. I shot my buck in cambria on the first tuesday of the season and it didn't have one that i could find. Crazy!

Re: Ticks are out.

i been on anti-bio's since the first day for two tick bites. if you get a good bite, might want to call the dr. they prescribe a preventative dose of anti-bios. lyme disease is not the only thing they carry.

I had 3 on my pants after a walk in 247 yesterday. They are always bad there, though.

Re: Ticks are out.

Tick numbers seem to grow every year. It's so bad I don't even hunt anymore and the reason are the ticks.

Re: Ticks are out.

Tons of ticks in Washington County this season. I never get them on me for some reason, but my buddies are always covered with them when we come out of the woods.

I see said the Blind Carpenter to his Deaf Helper as he picked up his Hammer and Saw!
