Well if you already have a deer herd, how would anyone financially change the genetics.
I saw one state that stocked deer not long before I arrived. The deer which were then hunted in part of the state, spread to the whole state. Now with deer, they don't stock deer.
And as far as trophies goes, it comes down to the square mile we hunt. It's like the lottery; most cannot win. If it isn't in the square mile, no trophy. And even if it is present, there would be no guarantee that we'd even see it on our stand.
