I was wondering if I am paying to high a price the property is around 80 acres but is surrounded by 1000's of acres of whitetail habitat I am in Illinois and the lease cost me 2 grand what do you think is that to much?"

25.00 per acre...sounds good, if it is in the right part of ILL.. But what is on the 1000 other, is it private or public land?

Perhaps the point was that there should be lots of deer around that area and since they tend to move about, having access to 80 acres there, isn't a bad deal?

Some folks' learnin' curves just look like circles...3A Camp/also hunt 4B

Guess it's all relative. If your "ride" is a 90's era Caddy that you keep patched up, the repo man is ready to remove your single-wide trailer, and you just made "Photo of the Month" on the People of Wal-Mart website...... prolly not too good a deal.

I think 2 grand to be stuck on a postage stamp is terrible.

The deer didn't disappear.... the 250,000 guys who used to walk around and make the deer move did.
