Re: dying buck attacked by other buck

Wonder what a wildlife biologist would say about this? Interesting and fascinating video. On a personal note, I felt myself wanting to beat the snot out of that deer. Miserable, back shooting, chicken plicking fraud!

Good night Chesty, wherever you are......

Re: dying buck attacked by other buck

I had that happen once. In 2006 I had a doe pass then a nice 8 pointer right behind and a 4 pointer behind that. I shot and dropped the 8 and the 4 came over and started attacking it. I was sitting 30 yards away. The 4 pointer was thrashing and pestering the 8 that the 8 pointer started trying to stand up so I shot again. Still, the 4 kept trying to fight (I guess he saw it as his chance to become the dominant buck). Yelling did nothing so I had to get up and chase off the 4 pointer.

Good vid. Never have seen anything like it. Have seen mature deer fight several times but nothing like on the vid.

Re: dying buck attacked by other buck

That was a stud of a 6/7 point that was attacking the dead buck!

That which does not kill me, only makes me stronger.

Re: dying buck attacked by other buck

My grandmother told me that her father was hunting back
in the 1920s or 30s and two bucks came by his stand. He
shot the first one and the second buck refused to leave
and stomped its feet and snorted for several minutes before
finally running off.
