Didnít Make It

I found this 3pt while out with the flinter today. Not too much left of him, I couldnít tell how he died. Not near any roadways but you never know. (cell phone pic)

Re: Didnít Make It

Could've been shot an lost by someone not bound by A.R., or shot and left by a ying-yang, or pulled down by 'yotes or other predators.

Not like it was shot and ran off and bedded, just lying there in the open like that.

A closed mind keeps the truth out

Re: Didnít Make It

Greater that 50% of the meat is gone yet his eyes are still intact. Hmmm.

Re: Didnít Make It

I would say that 90% was scavenged; only the four legs below the joints were intact. The paunch was also un-touched too. I have seen eyeís remain on road kills before, I donít know why that is though.

You can see the hair is scattered all overÖI think from crows. Yesterday was the first time this season I was in that area so I donít know how long that buck was there.

This is the first deer (non AR legal) I found since the current AR rules where put in place. It is a shame and I hope someone didnít count the points after shooting.

Re: Didnít Make It

we found 4 buck this year in 3c,all looked to be shot with a {varmint} bullet, bullet blew up on the hide no penatration, all near a road 2 Y's and 2 6pts 2 were alive when we found them, found 1 by smell { still alive }.I find it hard to believe they were all shot by the same gun, loaded down for a kid like some of the neighbors think.some times I feel were fighting a loosing battle...

Re: Didnít Make It

I found a dead one horn spike in a hidden bed yesterday. He was missing one rib, the rest was toast. HAIR everywhere.

What I say might not be the popular trend but at least Im not afraid to speak my mind!

Re: Didnít Make It

That buck looks to fresh to have been laying there since rifle season. I really doubt AR's had anything to do with this one.
