Rifle Hunt Buck

Heres a pretty short hunt I filmed on the opening day of firearms season. This is my best friend hunting a stand in southern Pa where he shot a big 140" 10pt on the second day last year. He drops this buck right in its tracks. Sorry for the muzzle blast shaking the camera. Hope you enjoy it.
Also be sure to check out the bowhunts from this year!

Nice shot and congrats. May I suggest you guys think about wearing safety harnesses.

Re: Rifle Hunt Buck

I was wearing an HSS vest and always do. He typically does as well, but I guess not that day.

Re: Rifle Hunt Buck

Thats a 2008 model Canon Vixia HF10 with a Canon DM-100 directional mic. It shoots full 1080p HD footage, internal hard drive, and its nice and small. Unfortunately the tree we were in that day wouldnt allow for a camera arm where I needed it to be(it was a double tree and too big around) and the footage was a bit shaky. I love the camera though, it does a great job, and the footage looks incredible on an HD Tv.

Re: Rifle Hunt Buck

Thanks... I'm looking to get a new one before spring gobbler season, preferably with an external mike and remote. The ol' Canon ZR500 ain't cutting it anymore:-)
