Question about where to set up newbee?

I am hunting a property that is a pine plantation. On one of the sides is a field and on the other side is a creek and hard wood area. I know there are deer in the pines since there is a ton of droppings in the pines. my question is on which side should i hunt first thing in the morning. Any help or suggestions would be great. This is first year hunting.

Re: Question about where to set up newbee?

I'm gonna guess the pines are their bedding area. Find out where they are feeding, then set up somewhere between the two locations where they come and go. Get off used trails about twenty yards or so. Watch the wind too.

Re: Question about where to set up newbee?

Find the funnel area where the deer move in and out and set up there well before daylight , don't walk on or near the deer trail. If you don't see any deer by about 11am. Still hunt, as slow as you can walk through the pines. The sot I hunt is an old pine plantation with mixed hardwoods and fields around it. My stand is on a trail that the deer use to come and go from the pines from three directions.
