Well after 6 long years of my two sons not being together with me to hunt all finally changed this year now that my oldest is done with the airforce, and his younger brother finally got time from work to be able to hunt once again.
Monday we all went out, and me and brandin my oldest saw 6 doe, and 2 y bucks. My youngest son Josh saw one doe.One of the doe we saw was an albino.Brandin got a picture of it.
Brandin, an I both went out Wednesday till 1 or 2 i think.Thursday we hunted 1 to quiting time, and Friday till 11, and that being the only day we seen anything.3 doe.
Today we headed out bright, and early. Was at our spots at 6.First shot rang out at 6:50.At 8:20 i seen a doe, and 2 yearlings, but passed on them in hopes that they would continue on up to Brandin. They did, but he couldn't get a shot. They were in some thick stuff, and he didn't want to take a chance.
At 9:15 i had yet another 4 point come in, and he continued on the same path that the deer took earlier.
At 1:05 i hear something! It's a doe!I get on her, and bang!!Drop her in her tracks.
I look around, and she had 6 others with her. They took off up over the hill where Brandin, and Josh were. One on each side of a bench.
They ran up to Brandin, and 5 minutes later i hear.. bang.
Then another few minutes i hear Josh... bang!
Talk about a plan coming together. We all got a deer within 15 minutes of each other.Something of which has never happened before.
What a great year it has turned out to be back together with my boys, and doing what we love to do!Spending time in the woods together.
And here's one with my grandson Bryson. Can't wait till he becomes of age!
