Safe too Eat??

My girlfriends dad shot a doe today that when we went to gut it it had diarrhea all down its back legs and tail then when we cut it open to gut it, its guts were all watery and jello like. Then the lungs were stuck to the rib cage and all the membrane holding the guts in were stuck to the rib also. The meat looks fine except where he hit it(Liver area) the meat around the entrance and exit hole were a very dark brown. We have shot a bunch of other deer before and never had one that looked like this and just want to be sure nothing is wrong with it. Thanks

If putting holes in the sky was an olympic sport I'd get a gold medal.

I cant imagine that it would be or taste good. I would contact Game Comm. and se if they want to see it.

Re: Safe too Eat??

MY dad actually shot one like you said, minus the excretions coming out the anus, the lungs had like a white membrain around it attaching them...its the first in alot we decided to turn over to the GC, they issued him a new tag... If you are worried, better safe then sorry.

also his deer had like weak bones, i grabbed its tail to move it and it broke, and you could see the spine almost threw the hide, WE THINK it has a disease...not positive
