Old Warhorses

Anyone else use old military rifles for hunting. I use a Argentine Mauser Model 1891. 7.65

I just took my Enfield British 303 out of the gun cabinet. Going to take it tomorrow.

I use my 303 enfield and my 6.5 swed. to take several deer over the years.

I use an 8mm German Mauser that was picked up during WWII. It has been sportorized, but the only thing not original is the wood.

haven't used my Krag in years, crack in the top of the receiver
my brother sometimes carries a Win 1892 38/40

depending on where I hunt, I use a 1884 Trapdoor in 45-70. My first deer rifle was an 8mm Mauser. (Darn good brush cartridge)

I carried my VZ-24 one time deer hunting. I gained a whole new respect for the soldiers that had to carry them in war.
