Camo during rifle...

I have had people tell me over the years that camo is unnecessary during rifle especially if youíre going to be moving. A lot of guys I hunt with argue that if youíre moving through thickets itís too easy to rip or damage your camo in the brush. I canít say that I disagree however I still wear my camo? What is the general consensus around here?

Re: Camo during rifle...

Certainly OK to wear camo during rifle season if you also wear the specific amount of orange. Why would brush or thickets rip your camo? Use tougher camo.

I can understand not wearing your best gore-tex camo parka wading through head high multiflora rose, but I would wear camo for the most part if I had the option. Just buy some cheaper stuff you don't mind getting a gash or two in!

Hey, ya gotta wear SOMETHING! I figure my camo clothes are just as tough (or not tough) as any of my other clothes. I always wear the required orange, but I think camo absolutely helps when hunting in close quarters.

If it's warm out I wear my camo pants with an orange/camo
jacket. In the cold I wear orange camo bibs with that same
jacket.

I'd rather be fishing or hunting!

Never seen dirty camo!! I can remember all the times trying to keep blood and dirt of orange. My vote Camo with the required amount of orange.

My vote Camo with the required amount of orange.

All blaze orange doesn't match the surroundings, perched in a pine tree.....
