What time do you start walking on the opener?

I hunt state game lands and you have to get in early... I usually start heading up the mountain around 3:30 ish

When do you start your walk?

I leave the truck for my 1.5 mile hike at 4:30, it takes me about 1 hour to get back to my spot, then I completely change out of the sweaty clothes I walked in with, put up the climber and wait about an hour for daylight to come.

Goin in early and stayin late.

Traffic along my road starts at 5:00AM so I am in place well before that if I am on the SGL, which I usually am.

My property borders SGL but it doesn't seem to really affect what time I get out there. I try to be in my stand about 45 min before first light.

Me too, about 45 minutes prior to legal shooting time. I like to settle into the stand, have a cup of coffee, and just enjoy the time out.

Seeing or shooting a deer is just a bonus.

I used to walk in at dark now I have learned to wait until daylight you would be amazed what you see. I would rather jump em when I have a chance to shoot than jump em in the dark. I have also filled my tag before getting to my spot!
