Place to get photos of buck

I am trying to get pictures of a buck. I don't care about the size of the antlers. Does anyone know where there are deer in a pen or someplace where I could easily take close up photographs of a buck. Ideally, it would be in western PA but I am willing to travel.

Re: Place to get photos of buck

If you want photos of a buck, any buck, you should be able to get some. a couple of trail cameras out and it won't be long before you have some good, fairly close photos. Or, set up a blind and wait.

Getting photos yourself should take less time than traveling to another location, learning the lay of the land, and setting up for success.

Another idea is to go to a preserve and ask if you can photograph bucks. You can probably get photos through a fence at Double Diamond Deer Ranch in Cook Forest. It's a tourist spot as much as anything.

There is a Nature Center within South Park that I know had deer in the fenced-in area a few years ago when I took the kids there. Not sure if they still do, but you could try there. It is right off of Corrigan Drive.

Re: Place to get photos of buck

Went to a deer farm last month and today and took tons of pics, bottle fed a fawn, kissed a doe, hand fed a 300 class monster, helped artifically insemenate 12 doe's and had a great day indeed. Even ate one of the deer bites feed we gave them cuz they smelled good (but didnt taste good) Just ask, be polite and generous with compliments and nice people will be nice most times.

Re: Place to get photos of buck

I need to have fine-art-print quality image of a buck so I need to take the photo at the right angle with a good camera so I am going to the Double Diamond Deer Ranch. Thanks for all the responses.
