SGL 329 and nearby Weiser State Forest

Anybody familiar with hunting SGL 329 and the nearby Weiser State Forest around Roaring Creek for deer and turkey? Also, where there are access areas off of Rt. 42? Thanks.

I've hunted weiser state forest quite a bit for deer..i hunt near wolf pond or the halifax hangliding area..you can get back there by taking the last right before the eville quarry (coming halifax way) and go straight back..you'll get to a fork in the road and stay left. Keep going and you'll come to a spot where you make a sharp left and go up a steep hill or go right..if you go left you go up the mountain and can get into a few different areas by going on different roads/turns..i'm only familiar with wolf pond area..hope i helped..need more detail just pm me!

Thanks for the infro Brandt. I am confined to an electric wheelchair and hunt with my son. Is this area wheelchair accessible?

Henry, call the state park office. Then make a call to the regional office. They will have all the information you need.

You should find the following interesting as far as access possibilities:
State forest roads are also available for recreational use: about 20 miles of roads on the Dauphin County tracts and 30 miles on tracts in Schuylkill and Carbon Counties.

Is your position a short term gain - or a long term loss? Separate the issues.
