I know your not allowed to shoot a bear with a bow the week of bear muzzleloader but can I carry a bow for deer and a muzzleloader for bears that were simultaneously?

I'd say yes as long as you have an archery license, muzzleloader license, proper tags and follow the orange requirements for the muzzleloader.

Iím a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it.

I would guess no. I was told you couldnít carry a bow and a shotgun during the overlap of fall turkey and archery. Would think this would be the same thing.

I think this kind of thing was discussed before and I think Big B. is right. Can't do it.

Listen, or your tongue will make you deaf.

Why would they carry a muzzleloader when there isn't anything legal to shoot with one that isn't legal to shoot with the rifle? Other than if they truly wanted to use the muzzleloader, but then why carry a rifle.

I think the second you shoot the bear with a ML you broke the law as you would have been hunting with an unlawful weapon (bow) in your possession. I've never bothered carrying both weapons so it doesn't bother me, but if I was planning on doing it I'd want something in writing saying it was legal JMO.

. If one was to shoot a deer with the bow while carrying a shotgun, ( not a legal weapon for archery deer season) you would be in violation of the law. One might try to claim they were toting both weapons for turkey ( both weapons would be legal for them ) , not sure a warden is going to buy your story if you’re in a tree stand with a grunt call and rattling horn.
