Sure would be hard to eat and drink carrying the other bucks body with him. I wonder if he decapitated the other bucks with his rear hoofs, and then just had to carry the head with him.

There was a story elsewhere years ago that showed coyotes had scavenged the body of one buck while the other was still alive.
Apparently the coyotes took the easy meal and didn't need to risk injury by killing the live deer.

Crazy - I wonder how well the live buck was able to use his nose with a decomposing head right next to it? Also, it would have been tough getting through the brush being 2 heads and a rack and half wide.....eating would not have been easy either...

I am sure the hunter was doing his best not to puke over the smell of the decomposing buck when he was posing for the pic lol. I bet it would have been hard for the live buck to eat and drink.

I noticed he's having them mounted together like that. Which I think is cool, but couldn't happen in this state....the PGC would confiscate the dead head!

That is cool, but he must have had a temporary case of nose-not-worky-ness.
