17 years.

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

Just gotta be thankful that there's so many guys willing to burn their preference points on a cow tag.

You do realize that the points in PA are not preference points as in the preference points out west where after you accrue so many you get a license. In PA it just means you names in the pot one time for each point. It is entirely possible to never get drawn. If it took 17 years for many of us this year to get a license depending on age you may not have 17 more years to keep trying. Having an opportunity to take a PA Elk, bull or cow is a rare opportunity and I really have no place to hang a head or antlers anyway. There is always one fly that has to sit on your steak I suppose.

Thank you! I had no idea that I'll have 18 entries in the hat for a bull next year...

It also means the lucky ones that drew a cow tag this year, will again be eligible in next years bull and cow tag drawing too if they apply.
