2018 Rut

I'm trying to schedule my weekends off at work for the fall. What is likely to be the hottest time for the rut this fall based on the moon cycle?

Whichever of the last 2, even the last 3, is the coldest. The moon is meaningless in that consideration to me. If I had to choose one weekend I would pick the next to last.

There really is no bad time to be in the woods. I enjoy early season as much as the rut and nice bucks are taken every year from opening day to the last.

The older I get the better I was.

My camp last year moved are week rutcation up a week. We went %100 on nice bucks. All 5 hunters passed up multiple shots before they killed. I would say Halloween week is the best part of the season!

Any day in the woods is a lot better than a day at the office !

As close to the 2nd week in November, the latter part should be better.
