Doe Tags Tonight

Envelope is ready, I checked, checked and rechecked.
Hope I did everything right, in the mail box tonight flag up.
I hope no one steals my envelope and tries to cash my check or bleach it and clean out my Bank account.
Good Luck everyone.
Tis the Season.

I'm putting mine out tomorrow night. I think if I mailed it tonight it would get there ahead of time and be sent back.

I never leave a check or anything with personal info in my own mailbox. I have a big blue mailbox up the street and all that stuff goes in there.

I'll drop mine in the Post Office after they have delivered the mail tomorrow. That should assure it doesn't get there tomorrow while assuring that it gets to the County Treasurer Monday or Tuesday.

I haven't heard of anyone I know being denied a doe license for a long, long time. Does that still happen?

If anyone is out of tape or the kids used all of the glue stick, I'll express deliver either. 24 hr. service, rates depend on distance traveled.

The pink envelope will be on its way to Elk County. Meet some nice people who work for the county treasurer at the Elk Expo a few years back. I liked their attitude and willingness to process antlerless tags promptly.

Used to drop mine off at the Hbg. PO on a Friday night, as it's only about a 15 minute drive at a time with little traffic on the Interstate. Everything from outlying POs around here goes there for distribution, so it's already there if I dropped it off.

Now I drop the app off there on Saturday morning.

Little chance anything is going to arrive at a county treasurer's office before the Monday they start accepting them. Don't know of any such offices that operate on a Saturday?

Back in the late 80s I was heading for camp on the Friday I'd normally send the app in, so I stopped at the Wellsboro PO on the way past and dropped the envelope off in the lobby box. Clerk told me they put all the doe apps into big trays when they begin to accumulate on that Monday and the treasurer sends someone down to pick them up.

I've been told that since the USPS closed the Williamsport distribution center a few years ago, most everything mailed from up north, now comes to Hbg. to be sorted and sent back out?

Same here. I stopped putting letters with checks inside in our mail box a long time ago. Its only a short ride to our post office where I'll dump the envelope into their secure mail box. I'll drop it off on Sunday, this way I know it won't go out until Monday.
