WMA doe tag help

Hello ,

for those who live in this area I'm asking for a little help on WMA selection and what courthouse address to send it to.. my son got access to a farm to hunt.. It's in Millville,Pa. from what I can tell it's in Columbia county north of RT 80 so according to the maps that would be WMA 4E (correct me if I'm wrong please) kinda confusing as it also boarders WMA 4C . so assuming that I send that application to the Columbia CO. court house address listed on the pamphlet..

Thanks for your help..

You can send your application to any courthouse in the state, since it is computerized every co treasurer can issue licenses for all counties.

You can only send for one doe license at a time in the first round.

OK I'm aware that you can only mail in one application per hunter.. I was asking if you could put multiple first round applications in one envelope.. for example 3 family members two want 4B and one 4E in same pink envelope to the same county seat..

thanks sorry for the confusion..

In my family we have put 4 applications in the same envelope with no problem, although they were always for the same wmu.

Antlerless Deer License Regulations
Landowner Antlerless Deer Licenses
Disabled Veteran Antlerless Deer Licenses
Armed Forces Antlerless Deer Licenses
Replacement Antlerless Deer Licenses
If an application is not complete and/or proper remittance is
not enclosed, it will be rejected and returned to the applicant.
Each antlerless deer license includes its own ear tag.
Once obtained, a properly licensed hunter may use an antlerless
deer license in any season in which it is legal to harvest
an antlerless deer.
Junior and Senior license holders, Disabled Person Permit (to
use a vehicle) holders and Pennsylvania residents serving on
active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces must have a valid antlerless
deer license or permit to participate in the Special Antlerless
Only Firearms season (Oct. 18-20).
Archers must have a valid antlerless deer license or permit to
harvest an antlerless deer. Muzzleloader hunters must have
a valid antlerless deer license or permit to participate in the
antlerless-only muzzleloader deer season (Oct. 13-20).
All hunters must have a valid antlerless deer license or
permit to harvest an antlerless deer. Exception: During the
after-Christmas flintlock season, a properly licensed flintlock
hunter may use his or her unused antlered tag to harvest
an antlerless deer anywhere in the state. A WMU-specific
antlerless license, or valid DMAP permit, is required for each
additional antlerless deer harvested.
A person may apply for and receive no more than three antlerless
licenses in a license year (1 regular antlerless license
and 2 unsold antlerless licenses), with the exception of
WMUs 2B, 5C & 5D. Elsewhere in the state, obtaining more
than three licenses is against the law and carries a $100 fine.

Applications will not be accepted by County Treasurers prior
to the start of the application period. Applications will be rejected
and returned.
Applications are limited to no more than three per envelope.
Antlerless deer licenses are WMU-specific. An antlerless deer
license is valid only in the WMU for which it is issued. The use
or attempted use of an antlerless license in another WMU is a
violation of the law. County Treasurers may issue licenses for
any WMU, not just units within their county

If that is true both you and the County Treasurer who issues them are in violation of the law.

So, somewhat of a tangent, but something I've wondered....and I may be missing it in the regs, but I don't see the answer to it.

I get antlerless tags for several WMU's. One of them is 5C. Let's say the other is 5B.

In 5C, as long as you don't wait too deep into Sept, you'll likely get whatever tags you want. That one isn't hard.

5B isn't a quick sell-out like some WMU's, but it doesn't usually last super far into the unsold rounds.

First round application period opens. Can the same hunter send one envelope with one app for 5C, and another envelope with one app for 5B? I've always had the understanding that it was one app period, statewide, per hunter, for the first application period, but I can't really find verbage that confirms it, unless I'm just missing it (which is entirely possible).

Yes, you can do that. However, be warned that I know someone that did that and they all got the same WMU. In that case it was two apps for 2F and one app for 1B sent to the Warren Co. treasurer....they all got 2F tags.
