Maine Moose is Home

Picked him up from the taxidermist Saturday up in N.H., from our 2017 Maine Moose hunt. https://www.huntingpa.com/forums/21-b...oose-hunt.html
Just got him hung up on the wall, with a minimum of profanity. lol

Actually it went really well with my son and I on ladders on either side and my wife in the middle with a long handled fishing net over his muzzle and holding him steady.

Moose lottery is this weekend up in Maine. Good luck to everyone.

That looks great!

How about some details; what did you shoot it with, what part of the state, ect?

BTW, you look different then your avatar pic.

Good luck, Tony

Tony, if you click on the link in my narrative "Maine Moose Hunt",(it should be in red), it should bring you to my original thread about the hunt. My wife and son were the hunters. My son used a 1903 Winchester, Springfield, with a sporter stock and 3x9 Leupold, loaded with Federal 200 Grain Nosler Partitions. Wife use a Rem. 760 Carbine, in 06, same bullets.

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!
