Before CWD I shot a buck in New York right on the border. When the bullet hit him he lurched, jumped over the line, and landed dead in Pennsylvania.

Wonder what I should do if that happens again.

Seriously, it?s going to inconvenience lots of hunters near state borders, but it?s a good move. CWD has the potential to change everything.

Just don'y hunt that close to the line.

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

That close to the line the deer go back and forth as they please.. Like with any rule you get the silly situations.

This is hilarious considering that PA. Deer farms were responsible for the first outbreak in OH.
The PGC. needs to lobby the legislature to shut down all PA. commercial deer farms instead trying to put a band aid on the problem by banning dead deer carcasses coming into PA.
Instead we need to stop exporting live deer from PA. deer farms that are infected with CWD. to other states.

It is a little late for that. The reason the dept of ag has charge of deer farms is because the PGC was holding their feet to the fire and passing regulations to prevent the movement of farm raised deer. The deer farmers went to the general assemble and got them to turn the operations over to Ag, which was like putting the foxes and weasels in charge of the chicken houses. Hunters were silent on the issue when it happened, it is a little late for them to be complaining now! If you want to blame someone, blame the general assembly, they are the ones who caused the spread of the disease.

Hence the reason I said that " the PGC. needs to lobby the legislature to ban PA. deer farms" And be very vocal publicly as well. And it wasn't just the deer farmers that went to the general assembly, they were joined by the entire PA. Farm Bureau.
The PGC. Is charged with protecting the whitetail deer, regardless of whether or not it angers the PA. Farm Bureau.

No actually we the hunters need to put the pressure on the legislature. We are the ones that elected them. They need to here from us in mass, they will just ignore the PGC, as they have for the last 20 years.

What he said. The PGC does not elect the general assembly. Voters do!
