DMAP Question

I put my property and leased property in to DMAP this year for first time. I filled out all paper work requested 8 coupons and received that many. Had plans of 2-4 for myself and grandson then inviting some HPA members for Flintlock like I did last year. I decided to go and get 2 y-day and read on bottom part of paper that an applicant can only get 2. Is this correct that I can only get to DMAP tags for my own place as a maximum amount. Wasn't trying to be greedy but mentoring can eat some tags. Any help?

The way I understand it, you are only eligible for two tags per unit, even if the unit happens to belong to you.

If you're having trouble hunting for deer,
don't wish things were easier;
wish you were smarter.

That's my understanding as well.

I get 4 tags for our land. I keep two, one goes to my best bud who is a non-res and can seldom get a 2F tag, the other goes to my wifes cousin.

Also remember a mentored youth may only have one dmap tag transfered to them. Thats not per unit, one total. Same with a regular doe tag.

To make that crystal clear.....you can transfer one DMAP tag AND one WMU tag to the same mentored youth.
