Colorado 1st rifle

Is anyone driving out and back for Colorado's first rifle this year? Trying to see if anyone would like to do a deal on getting meat back if we are successful. Please let me know if antone is going and interested.

Good Luck. I'm driving out and back but for second season. We will be leaving the 18th and coming back the 31st. The idea of flying is very appealing but the logistics and cost of getting guns, equipment and any meat/bone back becomes difficult.

I am heading to Meeker next week, but that is quite a ways from Montrose!

To be 100% honest I am not sure lol. My buddy lives out there and invited me out. I never thought of Elk hunting until a few months ago. I am literally headed out there for the adventure and experience. If I shoot an Elk great, but honestly I can't wait to see the country and just be in the wilderness for three straight days!

Good for you and enjoy. I have to admit I think it has to be the ugliest country side I have ever seen. High country desert! You will enjoy our Pa. woods when you return home.
