I'll say this,if you need something to attract deer you don't know how to hunt.

The hunter referenced in the article is using doe in estrus for the first day in September??? I think scents hurt more hunters then they help. I don't use them but I don't have an issue with those that do.

placing a scent that normally isnt there can do more harm than good. i prefer to just leave things the way nature intended. funny thing is, when you hang a rag in a tree with doe in heat scent on it and the buck walks right up to it to sniff it, how tall does he think that doe is ???

So you don't use a stand or blind or camo clothes or anything of that nature?

Obviously you hunt in an area where there are plenty of deer, and you have no need to attract the few that are around.

Good for you.

do the homework before the hunt

stand, blind and camo clothing do not attract deer, unless that camo pattern is full of photos from playbuck magazine

I truly don't understand why these urine based products haven't been banned a long time ago. I experimented with them 20 yrs or so ago and found o% advantage to using them.

Trails End works... I had a eight point back in 07' during the rut zero in on it. He came charging in on it, along with me calling a doe grunt.

I've had decent luck with scents for starting mock scrapes. but it's been hit and miss as far as scent for attracting deer during season.
