Angry Shotgun only

With the new semiauto rules possibly going into effect I'm ready for shotgun only in my area.

What area is that? You think that because semi-auto's may be allowed that the PGC will make your area shotgun only(assuming that it's not already)?

Not going to happen unless population levels grow to a certain point, then shotgun only areas, such as the southeast portion of the state, and around Pittsburgh has now will be implemented. Both these areas have a large population density. It will be a long time before other parts of the state follow.

Not sure why the pgc would do that when their own study showed that rifles are safer.

Banning treestands would probably prevent more injuries and deaths.

A study was done in Pa to determine if expanding the shotgun only areas would be beneficial from a safety standpoint. The study concluded that it would not be so I don't expect any consideration expanding these areas any time soon.

I support all hunters, regardless of weapon or technique!

I don't understand why hunters and shooters, those experienced in the use of firearms, are afraid of semi-auto rifles being allowed for hunting. I mean, I can understand non firearms users because their knowledge on guns typically only comes from what they are fed by the media, which we all know is accurate and unbiased.
Is that .308 bullet different when fired out of a rifle using a semi-auto action verses one fired from a bolt action rifle?

Shoot straight

It's not you we're afraid of. There will undoubtedly be some number of tacticool idiots out there spraying and praying full clips at deer and whatever else they think they see running through the woods like its a paintball game. I see them every time I go to the PGC range now, there's a scary amount of these wannabe militia losers decked out in their call of duty gear. Sorry those few boneheads will ruin it for the rest of you, but I don't want to be out there with those turds, not one bit!
