DMA-2 permits / 14,000 of them

I am just thinking about the area of DMA-2 gronds.
If they sale all 14,000 tags, and people get 2 of them, that could be 7,000 people in there???? Deer should be running every where?

Re: DMA-2 permits / 14,000 of them

That is over the course of Archery, Early ML, Rifle, and Flintlock seasons.

So split that over 90+ days of hunting. And how many were purchased so a hunter can harvest a doe the first days of rifle season, when other doe tags are not usable until the first Saturday, and people are hunting Mon., Tue. and maybe Wed.

Just a blip on the hunting radar.

Re: DMA-2 permits / 14,000 of them

Come on Willyp, DMA2 consists of nearly 1300 SQUARE MILES! By your thinking, that's about 6 people per square mile! IF, AND ONLY IF, every one decides to and is able to hunt all on same day and time! Those people will be lucky to even see each other in a days hunt.

And YES, there was an increase in tags available this year! 2016 increased by 1000.

And remember, some people will get these tags with NO INTENTION of ever using them.... 'to save the herd' so to speak.
