Old hunter got an education

Got an education on tracking dogs. Dogs that go out to find missing deer, in a state that has legal tracking dogs.
I learned the common mistakes made before calling a dog tracker. And common misconceptions about tracking dogs. I even found some postings about the real cost of using a dog tracker.
That's a cost of hunting, I'm a real newbie on. I never did need a tracking dog. It's a good thing I started in PA, hunting in the swamps. Learned to shoot the deer and drop them with no tracking.

Hunting is sure getting expensive for newbies these days.

What is the cost if you use native dogs?

That mutt appears to be post Paleolithic, therefore I rule "non-native".

He's retired. When you're retired, it's never too early.
