HOW MANY POINTS???

As I was walking the gun on SGl Sunday morning, I came across something that peaked my imagination (daydreaming due to no critters to shoot at ):

Imagine this is a side and rear view of a long dead dinosaur named RACKASAURIS.

Each point must protrude at least 1 foot.

How many Points

does it presently carry?

did it carry when it had full rack intact?

side view:

rear view:

p.s. - no sightings of Fred Flintstone or Barney Rubble

If that's where I think it is, I used to hunt Wood ducks right there!

Shoot straight

Bcoz:

Here's the skinny:

SGL91 located adjacent to the Suscon Gun Range. This area holds special meaning to me -

as a kid (long before the gun range existed) - we would camp at the beaver pond in the woods (locally called 2-10 DAM). I have great memories of catching bullheads and cooking them on a stick like a hotdogs... simple pleasures back then..

Gate entrance -

This area was recently timbered and cleared. IMO it really opened up the area for increased populations of small game.

I flushed two grouse the morning I walked the gun (no shots - it was a Sunday morning).

Kudos to the PGC for habitat improvement work such as newly created food plots :

Re: HOW MANY POINTS???

Not where I thought. The beaver dam in your original pic looks real similar to one near Nescopeck SP.

Great post and pics! Thanks!
