Re: 2 way radios

I have the older motorola radio and have an earpiece on so the speaker doesn't blast in the woods.

Re: 2 way radios

I have sold and used both. I like the Midland radio myself. They also have the earbud and a mic that I clip to the inside of my shirt. Also like the NOAA weather band. Just my 2 cents.

Re: 2 way radios

Get one with an earbud. I have used most every kind out there and like Motorola's the best. But if you want quiet in the woods make sure to get ear buds with them.

That's what I've carried in gun season for the last decade and it's never let me down. I don't use it for any form of communication however. Just ease dropping.

Be aware that "the man" is listening so don't use them for the purpose of making others aware of deer locations and what not....especially during deer drives.

Re: 2 way radios

Garmin Rino series! Awesome. Radio and a Mapping GPS, and you can send texts to your buddy, and see where he is as he moves.

Perfect when hunting with a new 16 Y.O. who wants to step out on his own for the first time.

Pricey, but worth every penny!!
