Pike county trespasser

So recently my father went up to our property in Pike county and found a tree stand set up about 20 yards from my tree stand on our property. Our property is narrow and not posted so I'm sure it's just an honest mistake. Gonna leave a note and see how that works out but last year before rifle deer some one apparently who has vision problems tied pink ribbons on every other tree across the property again it's not very wide only about 100yds to a neighboring property. Fairly certain it is a member of the hunt club up the road as (I believe not 100%) they purchased the land below ours. So best way to notify and correct this situation other than the note?

Smile its contagious. Its understood in all languages.

Re: Pike county trespasser

1. Have it surveyed if you are not 100% certain where the property lines are.
2. Mark property lines.
3. Put up Posted signs.

Re: Pike county trespasser

bassnleo is correct.

As a non landowner, I hate suggesting that anyone post land that was previously unposted. However, it is 100% your right, as the landowner to post your property, and it is 100% everyone else's RESPONSIBILITY to gain permission prior to entering ANY private land...even if it's not posted.

Survey, mark it, post it. Also make no apologies for making sure that who ever that stand belongs to gets the message. Sometimes people need more than one "gentle" reminder. Photos of the stand might come in handy in case he decides to get snipping and charge you with destruction of private property. Don't laugh, seen it happen...

I try...as much as I can, I try. I've had private tracts of land that I lost because of other yahoos, who can't seem to follow the rules.

You best believe that if I ever get the opportunity to purchase some land, I'll be posting it...don't mean people can't hunt there...just means "NO PERMISSION, NO HUNTING"
