Re: ANF DMAP

I am not seeing a DMAP #2501 on maps or listings.

Re: ANF DMAP

It's listed on the PGC website for DMAP in Forest and Warren Counties, 900 permits. Last year the Forest County was just unit number 2211. Now there is 2211 and 2501 and you don't know where the unit boundaries are or which one to get for where you hunt. I cannot find a map anywhere either. Called the ANF contact person and just keep getting the answering machine.
Clicked on the website link and it didn't have anything either.

Re: ANF DMAP

I don’t know how to post up the maps but maybe this will help a little. I know 2288 is already sold out though.

DMAP Unit 2211

Bounded on the northwest by the Tionesta Creek
Bounded on the south by the ANF boundary (marked on trees using vertical blue stripes between two hash marks in addition to permanent Forest Service signs every 300’)
Bounded on the east by State Route 66 and State Route 948

DMAP Unit 2288

Bounded on the west by Spring Creek/Duhring Road (Township Road 327)
Bounded on the south by the ANF boundary (marked on trees using vertical blue stripes between two
hash marks in addition to permanent Forest Service signs every 300’)
Bounded on the east by the ANF boundary
Bounded on the north by State Route 948

DMAP Unit 2501

Bounded on the north by the ANF boundary (marked on trees using vertical red stripes between two hash marks in addition to permanent Forest Service signs every 300’)
Bounded on the west by the Allegheny River
Bounded on the southwest by State Route 666 and southeast by the Tionesta Creek
Bounded on the east by FR 116, State Route 2002 (Austin Hill Road), State Game Lands (SGL) 29, Chapman State Park, Chapman Dam Road, and State Route 6

Re: ANF DMAP

I might as well help everyone out with my insider info. I have no idea how the ANF can sell tags without providing maps on where to use them!

Remember, only Forest Service property is covered by these tags. If you get onto the wrong piece of SGL or Private Land you better have a 2F or 3A doe tag or buck/flintlock tag.

Here is a map of all the KQDC DMAP units

DMAP 2501

DMAP 2288

DMAP 2211

Re: ANF DMAP

private land owners have to give you a map of their property for red tags and DMAP why doesn't the State?

they must be exempt from their own regulations, like congress

The ANF is not the state. They are the feds.

It just doesn't make sense to hand out permits for a designated area and NOT have at least a link on their website pointing people in the right direction of where they can hunt.
This should be required by the PGC as part of the DMAP application and the link should be right on the DMAP info box of participating landholders. I might contact both of them and recommend that.
