The article quotes two numbers for hunters apposing the Sat. opener, 81% against and 65% against. If those numbers are true and the GC knew that and did it any way that would tell us just how much our emails, calls, and letters mean to the the GC.

How did license sales back up the Saturday opener was beneficial? License sales were still down. We still lost hunters maybe not as many but still lost hunters.

Everything stated in that article was predictable. Though I did find Griceís $206,000 loss to be stunning. I donít think the PGC was concerned about the economic losses these folks incurred.

As of the first day sales were up .4% That equated to a little over 3000 additional licenses.

Yep, Jim's is a true asset to the Northern Tier. It would be a shame to see him fold. Jim can bear the lose, for now. Many businesses will not be as fortunate.

No surprise here...nothing to see. Move on.

That article, and the claims made seem rather suspect to me...
Granted, I'm not familiar with Grice's, but I find it highly suspect that they do so much business on the 3 days prior to "traditional" opening day that they could possibly realize a nearly 1/4 MILLION dollar drop in REVENUE.... highly suspect....

I guess the Monday opener means more to a lot more people than some thought.
