Yrs ago my dad's neighbor had a small cat that was very friendly, My older brother had a treestand behind my dad's house. He parked one morning to bow hunt, unknown to him the cat followed him into the woods. He climbed into his tree stand pitch dark and settled in, the cat climbed up and jumped into his lap.
I have seen 3 squirrels running around since. Don't like squirrels anymore. A grown man shouldn't be afraid of squirrels. I wasn't...until today. Lmfao. I haven't hunted for squirrels since I was a kid. Ill be back to this flat post Christmas with a .22
I like your attitude. It is important, after such a traumatic experience, to get back out there and show those squirrels who is boss!
Holy Crap. You all have no idea how much I wish I had my camera rolling. Not for the reason you would think. I was sitting in my blind, drinking a cup of coffee. All of a sudden...all ---- broke loose. I had a freaking squirrel JUMP into...INTO..my hunting blind. He panicked. I panicked more. He is bouncing off the walls. I stood up, quickly and out of instinct (fear) jumped backwards falling over my seat and semi collapsing my blind. Sooo now we are in even tighter quarters. You have no clue how scary the sounds of a squirrel can be...rolling around on the ground inside a collapsed blind. I quickly wiggled and crawled out. So did he. I watched him run away...I think he is still running. I sat on the wet ground thinking "holy crap...that actually just happened.
This is the best hunting story I've read this year!!
People are sick of politicians, and me, I hate cats in the house.
