Heavies deer you have taken?

Judging deer weight is not my strongest point or the troops at camp for that matter! Years ago I bought 400 lb hanging scale and we have a blast guessing the weight of deer. You have to throw a dollar in the pot and whoever comes close wins. Talk about being off! Not 5 or even 10 lbs, Try 20 on up! Well ,The deer Gods was with me late Weds.afternoon when I killed a nice 8 pt. I figure around 150 lbs. It weight 221 lbs. WOW! The biggest deer I have ever taken in 50 plus years of hunting.

221 lbs? That is huge. I have never shot a deer that I figure weighed even 180. Ive tagged some big deer I would have loved to weigh but never got around to buying a scale.

My 10 point I shot with my bow back in 2016. Field dressed 185. I figure over 200 lbs.

217 field dressed ohio buck. my experience is that most guys way overestimate the weight of their deer. they always seem heavier when it's a tough drag.
