Deer seaso

Just my thoughts on Sunday hunting. The deer get one day of rest now. But the insurance companies want them all kill off which leave all of us hunters with nothing to shoot. I don't agree with . Go back to the 3 days of doe season and build the deer herd back up. Just my random rant.

This cracks me up. I guess coyotes take Sundays off too? Maybe PA yotes fast on Sundays for religious reasons and pick up hunting again Monday morning.

Deer are a prey species. They never have a day of rest. That how nature works.

Perfect Deer Season to me is salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika... All applied sparingly.

If you believe insurance companies care one whit about how many deer are killed you are one of the most gullible people in the country. In addition, going back to 3 days of doe season would be one of the most stupid things the PGC could do. Yeah, lets go back to too many deer so we can start the process all over again to reduce the numbers to be in balance with the habitat. Really, that is what you think!

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

I agree, Not many where I hunt anymore, Used to see 5 to 10 on a bad day and more on agood day now I am Lucky if i see 2. They really messed up the deer hunting. Take a kid in the woods and see none for 2 or 3 days they say not for me.

Good Luck to all, Stant

Animals never get a day of rest. Generally, hunters are the least of their worries on a day to day basis.

While there are places with far fewer deer now, than they once may have had, obviously there are also lots of areas with plenty of deer. Otherwise, we wouldn't consistently be killing upwards of 300,000 each year.

In the 55+ years I've been hunting deer, there never were deer distributed equally everywhere I'd ever hunted them. It's kinda why I've tended to hunt them where they are fairly plentiful - not where they're scarce.

Might sound harsh, but that's how it is. Spent enough time when I was younger, hunting deer in nearby counties, because I didn't have the time to travel north where I knew deer where to be found.

Oddly enough, most of those closer to home counties I hunted in during the 60s and early 70s, now have far more deer than they did back then.
