Big PR mistake PGC

PGC honored two of their wardens for saving an owl that was in a leg hold trap. They posted it on their Facebook page, anti trappers are all over it. They now have one huge headache as far as PR goes. What were they thinking, idiots.
Sorry I don’t know how to post a link to this, and you probably need a Facebook account to view it.

Quite foolish!
I am not in favor of wasting wardens time “saving” birds, small animals, etc. They are not humans it’s ok if they die.

No matter what LE or the right does that is good the left will try to turn it into something negative. Lets hope the folks in the middle see how asinine the left is.

Yes. The PGC should not have posted that on Facebook. No issue with the Wardens getting the owl out of the trap, but I don't think it was wise to put the story on Social Media.

I see nothing wrong with a good deed being posted on social media.

Now some of you are sounding like the people who are criticized on this site for saying we should not post photos of the game we take, some of the same people who criticize those people are the same ones being critical of the photo . Can you say hypocrites! Trapping is legal, at times non target wildlife gets caught, if anything the posting on social media showed the anti trappers that trapping is not what they believe it is and that simply being caught in a trap is not a death sentence for wildlife. How many times have we seen people say here they aren't going to hide what they do to make the antis happy whenever someone is set upon on social media for posting a picture of a dead animal they shot?. Lots of noise coming from both sides of mouths here! Down in the trapping forum there are three pictures of trapped furs, one hanging on a barn wall and two inside a man cave those animals are dead not released. Where is the whining about that, this is social media as some here are quick to point out.

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

there was a lot of hand wringing and crying on that fb post about how "barbaric" traps are and how they'll break the ankle of a kid that steps in them and if your pet gets caught in one its as good as dead

There were a few trying to educated the uneducated, but man I feel bad for trappers. Even some on there that said they were hunters were attacking trappers.
