Cheapest air rifle for pest control?

Ok guys have little to no experience with air rifles other than a daisy red rider BB gun that i shot the living tar out of as a kid and a Ruger a guy lent me that I can’t get to shoot a group at all.

I need an air rifle that I can shoot rabbits and groundhogs out of my garden at a range of at most 20 yards for as reasonable price as possible. Would love to stay under 200 but would be willing to spend a little more if I absolutely needed to to accomplish my goal. Would prefer iron sights because I don’t wanna to be replacing scopes. Read some of the other posts but most guns recommended were 300 or so and centered around hunting. Just want something with enough power to kill with headshots and is accurate enough for headshots at 15 yards or so.

If an inline is just like a flintlock why don't you get a flintlock so you can hunt more seasons?

Do you have a .22 rifle? There are many rounds, cb,bb cap and others, that are just as quiet or quieter then a pellet rifle. plus you are familiar with the rifle already.

these are my first choice. https://www.cci-ammunition.com/produ...e=3&loadNo=960

they are about the same ballistics as a pellet.

I just checked AIRgun Depot. They have a refurbished Walther Terrus ( I believe made in Germany) for $170. Either 177 cal or 22 cal. I would get the 22.

would also check out Pyramid airgunner.

Check out Flying Dragon Air Rifles. Mike Melick (owner) is well known for his performance tuning an knowledge of air rifles . He personalty inspects, test fires and records performance and accuracy. I have a .177 & .22 Xisico XS60c bolt action Co2. These are very accurate and have nice adjustable fiber optic sights or can scope.. I had Mike do a full power tune and trigger work on the .22 and it is shooting a 14.3 pellet at 750+ fps./18+ ft/lbs $125 shipped. They also sell "Springers" with levels of tuning. Mike is a great guy, accessible, and will return your phone call/email before and more importantly after the sale. I own and have had some high-end air rifles but these are a great value and my go to rodent eliminators.
