Although some local trapper sales have bought coon doesn't mean they are worth anything. The auction houses are still filled with unsold raccoons from the previous two seasons.

I have a trapping friend from eastern Texas that caught a few coons while trapping bobcats this season. He fleshed and stretched them and donated them to the local boy scout troop for projects such as tanning and garment making. That was by far the best thing I've heard to do with coons this year.
