I'm not saying 300 snakes would be easy to find. However if he knew a handful of gestational basking/ den sights with a lot of females and small males. On the right day I believe you could probabaly get close to seeing that many snakes. Catching them all might be a different story.
I would really have to believe that there is more than one person involved in this.

Yeah more than one guy or this was a full time job for this guy.

The most we have ever seen in a year was around 200 where maybe 30 were actually caught and measured. That was hunting every weekend. To actually catch 300 snakes by yourself, one would have to be out pretty much every day. Even then it would be a hard task. He would have to be catching snakes from May to September to catch that many snakes. If he is going to break the law why should he care about seasons.

hummm, I have a cabin in lycoming, after hearing how many rattlesnakes he had, I might sell out.. I only ever saw 2 up there in my life and that is 2 too many... Wow...
