There was a girl in our high school who would carry snakes around in her coat pocket.

No, good friend to this day even thought we haven't live in the same state for many years. See her every year at our class reunion. She is still a very pretty lady, but no longer carries snakes in her pocket.

I read someplace that gasoline fumes irritate a snakes skin very much, and that old time snake hunters used to carry back-tanks of gas and spray some down into rocks, then watch the snakes come flying out- A practice that was then made illegal to do at snake hunts.

since we are on the snake subject here is one: My son's girlfriend was taking her dog for a walk at a place called Zindel Park and there is a bridge over the creek. The dog goes down into the water(lab) and she sits down on the wooden side step that runs with the length of the bridge. She then stand up takes a few steps and BUUUUUUZZZZZ! There lays a black phase rattler 5ft from where she sat down, she screams the dog comes up outa the water and up on the bridge to see whats goin on. She quickly grabs the dog and they both left, but she did take a pic of it thou.

My son and I were crappy fishing tuesday. He was in the front of my canoe. I heard him say, "That's an interesting development." I said what is? He says "Hold on a minute" I'm still fishing but I can see he is reaching around for something up there. He straightens up and has a small black snake in his hand, maybe 30 inches at most, and he tosses it over the side and it swims to shore. We figured it must have been snoozing under the canoe seat.
About 10 minutes later I look up and see the head of another snake sticking out from under the seat by his back pocket. I say, Hey theres another one, stay in the middle and balance us Ill get it. Took me three tries to grab it, guess I'm not so fast as the boy is. Tossed it over and it to swam for shore.
I say "Think we ought to paddle in and check for more?" He says, No, lets just keep on as we are, seems to be working pretty well." No more snakes but we had a bucket of nice crappies. Kids is 28, you couldn't get him riled if his pants were on fire.

Listen, or your tongue will make you deaf.
