Ok traditionally we have tried to do a knife swap around December. Our last one was summer based. So I figured we are in January and hunting seasons are winding down holidays are wrapped up(see my pun there wrapped like a present hahaha).
I'd like to see more than 4 of us do it.
For those who dont know how it works is we set parameters of a type of knife we will build. Age 18 and up and we agree to build a knife in a timeline and then cover the shipping to whoever gets the knife we make. At random its selected who gets which knife. But in the end everyone makes a knife and In return receives a custom made knife.

What do you think gang?
Working at getting back "in shape", its been a few years since I did much in the shop, but I am working off the rust! Been wanting a smaller anvil for the gun room so I didn't have to walk out into the main shop, so I found a nice one on ebay and it came today. got it clean up ready to work. Working on a few blades to get back into the groove and take a break from the rifle build.
Gents I had a younger gentleman in my shop a few weeks back hes getting into some knife making and blacksmithing. He wants to jump in on the swap but he cant seem to get logged in the site.....any thoughts? Keeps saying he doesnt have permission to post so im guessing maybe an email.didnt.come through to him to validate?
Here is my rough forging. Material is 5160 coil spring. I got it fairly close, I wanted more of a perfect half circle shape but with one got solid mis hit from my 4 lb'r made me lose that haha and I couldn't draw that corner out with going thinner than I wanted. Now time to fire up the belt grinder.
