Huh I got a knife and a dremel....

Well I kinda threw this blade together. The blade has been around the shop for a bit i had made it with no specific end point in mind. So I added a antler handle A hunk of wood some spacers and brass guard. Then it migrated into the leather shop where......oh look a dremel tool.

I have no clue what I'm doing when it comes to carving or face making but what the heck why not try. Keep making folks

Nice work! However, I dont know how you can deal with the smell of the antler when carving? My wife uses antlers to decorate our Christmas tree and I drilled holes in the bases so I could lash different antlers together, just the smell of drilling the antlers just about made me puke.

Thanks.

It's not bad doing this with the dremel. But yes grinding antler or drilling it is lousy. You do get used to it but it's not pleasant

Very kind Thank you.

I'm just trying really. This is the third try in carving on antler. Very much learning and trying thisbwhole carving thing. Guess that's my point is to try and see what you can do . I get very caught up trying to make things perfect. Sometimes is best to start.

Ok here's what I managed. Fun to do and came out better then I hoped when I started. Next up I'll put an edge on the blade and then make a sheath.

It keeps turning the pic when I upload not sure how to correct, but hopefully you can see it
