reclaimed blades

So a few years ago I aquired some old carbon blades that i found in a barn me and my father baught the contents and cleared it out for a older lady. I cleaned up and rehandled this one. Amazingly it fits my handle very comfortably. Ready to start another one. Anyone else doing reclaiming work? If so can i see some of the work.

Re: reclaimed blades

nice handle. I really like stopping at garage and yard sales looking for vintage knives. case, buck and schrades(my favorites). that's usually what I carry hunting is an old knife. I have several I have made and usually skin and cut up with them at home, but just like carring an old USA made knife.

Re: reclaimed blades

Nope where they were sharp i smoothed them out with the dremel. I too like the USA knives carbon steel ( case, old hickory, schrade), but recently Ive been buying and working on Soligen Germany knives, Im a big carbon steel fan. I have afew works in progress for this winter.
