Picked up a Mossberg Shockwave

I was bumming around the internet and saw that one website was selling mossberg shockwaves for $269 with free shipping. I couldn't resist and bought one. I find it alot of fun to shoot. Once you get used to holding it and aiming it so you don't get smacked in the face you can be pretty accurate with it.

It also came with a letter from Mossberg stating that it wasn't an NFA item. Hopefully you won't need to use that haha.

So far I've put about 150 rounds through it in the last 2 weeks. Next up I'm going to get the different feed ramp so that I can shoot mini shells in it.

Anyone else have one?

not yet. its on my list. lots of videos on you tube about them. i did call the PSP about the legality of them in PA and they said they are legal to own and treated just like a handgun.

i suppose that means if a person was to carry one in a vehicle for protection you should have a carry permit. AND.....do not attach a stock to it or it becomes a NFA item.

OH...crimson trace makes a laser sight for them too.

My friends son bought one in a Remington with a wood stock, the 3" 00 Buckshot kicks some harder than the 2 3/4 00 Buckshot. I don't see a need for 3" ammo out of that little monster but to each their own.

Don't have one yet, but I do want one.

And yes, they need to be treated just like a handgun.

You can now get a Crimson Trace laser for the shockwave.

So far I have 300 rounds through this thing and I gotta say that I love it. Its a total range toy for me but its fun to shoot for sure. After looking around there are places that make pistol braces for it but I like it just how it is. Just playing around with 7.5 cheap shells the recoil isnt bad. You can even shoot it 1 handed, but the recoil is so strong that it unlocks the slide and ejects the shell. Weird haha.
