build or buy do it now H.R.5087 - Assault Weapons Ban of 2018

read this;

H.R.5087 - Assault Weapons Ban of 2018

https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-...bill/5087/text

if you are doing a build or thinking of buying, now is the time to act. this looks like it has enough signatures to pass. looks like they are also going to ban certain accessories.

"this is just a notice, it has already been posted in the 2A watchdog forum" we should post all comments there so we dont have two posts.

If you haven't been buying the last few years...that's on you. I don't panic and I don't need to buy anything. I don't see the point in buying when prices are high...kinda like jumping into the stock market, when the market is up.

I'm not sweating this bill. It hasn't passed into law and I doubt it will. Besides that, I'm with aubie515 in that I agree that there is no need to panic and start running out and buying up everything in sight. All that will do is create a shortage, and shortages lead to one thing, higher prices on what is left.

very true. i dont plan on doing anything unless it passes the house. if it passes the house folks will start buying more, if it passes the Senate and heads to the President thats when the rush will happen.

i could buy a couple of those 400.00 AR's and sell them for 1,400 after a ban.

If the President signs this, he'll be going against his own platform from which he supported gun owners and the second amendment to get elected in the first place. If he signs this one, he'll never get elected again as I'm sure he'd lose the support of 5 million NRA members.....He signs this bill and I'll not vote for him ever again, that's a fact.

no matter what the President or congress does it never pleases everyone .contact your legislators and let them know your thoughts ,and pray they hear you, then prepare to buy the gun of your choice

gun ban bills are the greatest cause of gun sales. people that have been on the fence for years, thinking about buying an AR or large cap pistol are going to do it now.

Yep, and shortly the prices will rise again. Soon, you'll see the $1500+AR15. I guess if somebody wants one and who doesn't currently own one will buy. Glad I did so years ago, before all this B.S. started. My Colt sporter is going to be 30 years old in 2020.
